The Korean Federation for Environmental Movement (KFEM) was established in 1993 to protect the natural environment to achieve a society where human beings and all living creatures live in peace and harmony. KFEM has been campaigning to conserve wildlife species and their habitats including water birds and their habitats, to phase out nuclear energy, to promote renewable energy, and to reduce use of toxic chemicals. KFEM actively participates in government policy making, provides information regarding environmental protection, and provides environmental education to the general public. |
