Founded in 1936, the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) is the largest, not-for-profit, environmental education and advocacy organization in the U.S. Its purpose is to educate, inspire, and assist individuals and organizations of diverse cultures to conserve wildlife and other natural resources and to protect the Earth's environment in order to achieve a peaceful, equitable, and sustainable future. NWF's Population and Environment Program works to achieve a sustainable balance between population, environmental quality, wildlife and wildlife habitat, and the world's finite natural resources.
