Rose Koenders
Regional Coordinator

Rose manages the APA Secretariat and coordinates the day-to-day work of the Alliance. Rose was formerly Executive Coordinator of CHOICE, and worked as an advocacy officer at the World Population Foundation, the Netherlands. Rose also worked at a refugee organisation in the Netherlands coordinating campaigns to stop violence against women and female genital mutilation. Rose is committed to promoting reproductive and sexual health and rights, HIV prevention and meaningful participation of young people. Rose has a Master degree in gender, health and development from the Centre for International Development Issues at the University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Rose also volunteered with a midwife in Ghana and in 2002, conducted a gender analysis for Kenya's Family Planning Association on the sexuality of young women and their vulnerability to HIV. Rose has advocated for sexual & reproductive health and rights at a range of international meeting, including the UN Women's Conference, Beijing + 5 and Beijing + 10. In 2006, she was part of the Dutch government delegation at the High Level Meeting on AIDS. After the International AIDS Conference in Bangkok, she joined the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS as a Western European focal point. In 2007, she was invited to join a committee to advise the Dutch Ministry of Health on coordination mechanisms for SRHR.
Mae-Anne Llanza
Advocacy and Communications Officer
Mae-anne coordinates APA's advocacy work and communications. Mae-anne has worked on sexual and reproductive health and rights issues with various nongovernment organisations. She has worked with the Institute for Social Studies and Action and has written for the Reproductive Rights Resource Group in the Philippines. Most of her NGO roles have been in information and communications such as in 2007 with the Asia Pacific Forum on Women, Law and Development. She has also worked in training and advocacy roles with women's organisations focusing on violence against women. She also has experience in disaster management issues as well as land administration and management in the Philippines. Mae-anne has also been involved in project monitoring roles with Developpement International Desjardins' project with cooperatives in the Philippines in 2000. Mae-anne has over 15 years of development work experience and a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of the Philippines College Baguio.
Suwanna Promchan
Project and Finance Officer
Suwanna coordinates financial reporting and activities for APA and manages projects for governance and registration. Suwanna worked in finance and administration roles for the regional offices of Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) and Oxfam Great Britain. Suwanna also worked as an accountant and senior accountant for private-sector companies in Bangkok. Suwanna has a Bachelor of Accounting and an MBA from Ramkhamhaeng University, and qualifications in English from Thammasat University.
