In the study, a team led by Purdue University researchers examined the potential economic influence of adverse climate events, such as heat waves, drought and heavy rains, on those in 16 developing countries.

World Bank's Reproductive Health Action Plan is out
2010 World Bank's Reproductive Health Action Plan is out
The World Bank has released their Reproductive Health Action Plan 2010-2015 set to help poor countries reduce high fertility rates and prevent widespread deaths of mothers and children. The Bank warned that family planning and other reproductive health programs vital to poor women had fallen off the development radars of many low-income countries, donor governments, and aid agencies.
