Alexandra Johns
Executive Director 

Alexa manages the office and coordinates APA's regional and global advocacy and communications work. Alexa has been in Thailand for 6 years, and believes in a human rights-based approach to sustainable development and the improvement of law and policy.  She focuses on issues of sexual and reproductive health and rights, HIV/AIDS and gender equality, and the rights and needs of vulnerable groups.  Prior to joining APA, Alexa worked with the Asian Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (AFPPD) and with the Center for Human Rights Studies and Social Development (CHRSD) at Mahidol University in Thailand.  Holding an M Sc in International Relations with a specialization in Global Poverty from the Universiteit van Amsterdam (The Netherlands),  after completing her degree she spent time in Costa Rica with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Regional Office for Central America, under the Health and Migration team.

Sukanya Seetha
Finance and Administration Officer

Sukanya (Anne) takes care of all of the administrative and finance related tasks at APA, and feels passionately about working in development.  Anne joins APA after working for several years with humanitarian and refugee focused organizations in Northern Thailand and close to the border with Myanmar.  She has provided administrative and financial assistance to various organizations including DanChurchAid (DCA), American Refugee Committee (ARC), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
