To mark the 15 year anniversary of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), Global Partners in Action: NGO Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Development is being held in Germany to strengthen NGOs working in partnership to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights for sustainable development in an uncertain and interdependent world.
The EuroMapping Project is an initiative of EuroNGOs aimed at providing an overview of the levels of public funding towards financing the ICPD Programme of Action in 17 European countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom) and the European Commission.
The DAC Watch Newsletter focuses on international development assistance. It contains information on the peer review process of donor countries, carried out by the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). From December 11 17, 2002, the Fifth Asian and Pacific Population Conference (APPC) will be held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.
Avaaz recently sent out a new Action Alert with a request for assistance to help address Climate Change. Their most recent campaign, stems from the fact that due to an acceleration in sea level, a group of small islands' leaders plan to take the unprecedented step of putting a resolution before the United Nations, calling upon the Security Council to address climate change. Avaaz asks us, and our communities to stand with these people by signing an online petition.
US President Barack Obama rescinded the 'Mexico City Policy' on 23 January 2009, lifting restrictions on aid by the US Government to family planning and reproductive health services in the developing world.

The Expert Group Meeting was held at the United Nations Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand, from 3 to 5 February 2009. The Social Policy and Population Section, Social Development Division, ESCAP, organized the meeting in collaboration with UNFPA-Asia and Pacific Regional Office.
