Young Feminists Call to Action - Young feminist of the Asia and Pacific Region Demand to Resist, Reclaim and Transform for Beijing+30

2024

On November 16, 2024, over 135 young feminist leaders from the Asia and Pacific region united to shape demands for the Beijing+30 review. Drawing from regional consultations and the Young Feminist Forum, their statement amplifies voices of young women, girls, and LGBTQIAP+ youth, especially those facing poverty, violence, and marginalization. It highlights systemic oppressions rooted in colonialism, patriarchy, racism, and more, while centering lived realities of youth in diverse contexts, including conflict-affected areas like Myanmar, Afghanistan, and Manipur. These collective demands call for transformative actions to resist and reclaim rights, emphasizing intersectional and inclusive feminism.
