
Sexual and reproductive health (SRH) is an important component of young people’s overall health and development, encompassing physical, emotional, mental and social well-being4. This is the period of life with the most significant physical, intellectual and emotional changes, also characterised by the onset of puberty, and sexual awareness and maturation. Inequitable social norms and gendered attitudes differentially impact the SRH outcomes for boys and girls.
