APA and RFSU organized an amazing regional launch of the ICPD 25 High Level Commission's report in partnership with the Embassy of Sweden in Thailand and hosted at the residence of the Swedish Ambassador! The report launch facilitated a discussion between the HLC commissioners from the Asia Pacific region, civil societies, UNFPA and relevant government stakeholders for further mobilization in the Asia-Pacific region to follow up on Nairobi commitments.

In November 2022, the High-Level Commission on ICPD25 Follow-Up (HLC) published its second report entitled Sexual and Reproductive Justice as the vehicle to deliver the Nairobi Summit commitments. In their first report, “No Exceptions, No Exclusions: Realizing Sexual and Reproductive Health, Rights and Justice for All”, the HLC underscored the centrality of sexual and reproductive justice. The second report of the HLC elaborates on the sexual and reproductive justice framework, demonstrating how it is applicable to diverse stakeholders across settings and contexts. The Commission intended for this report to illuminate a path forward to achieve our commitments through the sexual and reproductive justice framework.

"Sexual and reproductive health services and information must be available and accessible to all physically and financially without discrimination."

- H. E. Jon Åström Gröndahl, Swedish Ambassador

To amplify the messages and recommendations of the second report and in order to facilitate a discussion on how stakeholders can act on and implement those recommendations, APA and RFSU collaborated on hosting a regional launch of the HLC’s second report. APA members and partners committed to mobilizing the Asia Pacific region to realize the Nairobi Summit commitments and ensure sexual and reproductive health and rights for all!
